We have finalized the details for the April club run. April's run will be to Red Creek, located between Bloody Basin Road and Bartlett Lake. We have chosen this run because this area is in danger of being closed down to motorized vehicles. With all of the rain we have received this year this should be a beautiful trip. We will be running this trail as an over-nighter, but you will be able to make it back to town the same day for those who wish not to camp. We will be camping at a spot where you will be able to fish, so bring your poles. I believe Ron Seitz is even going to bring his kayak. It is a 4-5 hour trip down to the creek, so those returning to town plan on a long day. We will be running this trail on Saturday April 17th and returning Sunday April 18th. Ron Seitz is very framiliar with this trail, and the area, and will be leading the run. We will be meeting Saturday morning at the Shell gas station on the corner of Scottsdale Rd. and Cave Creek Rd. at 8:00 A.M. This is the last gas station on our route so you will want to fuel up and get anything you may have forgot before we head off to the trail. The trail is fairly easy. Rated at a 2.5. There will be multiple creek crossings and some rocky sections. A 30" tire and some groud clearance is recommended. The trail does have about 30-40 miles of dirt road before getting to harder parts of the trail. There will also be areas of brush so expect some "Arizona pinstriping". I know everyone has there mind on this months Stampede but I hope some of will mark this trip on your calendar. We don't often have "overnight" runs and this is a great opportunity to see great scenery, relax, and get to know your fellow club members. See you all there!

Could you print out detailed directions of the camping location for those who may want to go up earlier? I want to go up on Friday and would need to know where to meet everyone sat morning. Thanks, Derick.

Derick I spoke with Ron. He said you pretty much need to know where you are going once you get off the road. If you are still interested. Ron will be at the next club meeting.

This was another great run. The weather was great! It was quite a bit of driving to get to the Verde river, but what a drive. Great scenery and the trail kept getting harder the closer we got to the river. The trail was harder than I had anticipated, but that made it fun. Shane bent up his tie rod pretty badly, but that was the only equipment problem. We had 5 EBs, 2 FSBs, and 1 B2 on this trip. Thanks to Ron for leading this trail and to Pete, Chuck, Bill, Shane, Derick, Bob, and all of the family members that came along for this trip. It's always fun to do a good trail, then camp and BS with good people. Jeanette and I had alot of fun and can't wait until next month. My "photographer" didn't get a lot of good pictures but here are few of the better ones. Hopefully someone else has some more they will share. See you all next month.

What Mitch said.
Had a great time. Thanks to Ron for leading and showing us a great trail and spot to camp and to Mitch for leading the few of us out who had to leave early the next day. I had a great time. Well worth the bent tie rods and 12-15 mosquito bites!!
