I will be putting together the January 2010 Run, possible an over nighter to Red Creek Trail but welcome your feedback. Target date is 1/16-1/17, but I am flexible if people think another weekend is better

Kirk, this looks to be a great trail to do. I have never been wheeling in this area. I can't wait. I talked with Todd today and he said you can make it a day trip or an overnighter. Are we going to run it as an overnighter?

I think I'd like to do an overnighter, but I also believe we can run it such that those that want to head back home Saturday afternoon can do so.

Guys and Gals,
We decided at tonights ACB club meeting to postpone the Red Creek Trail run to April for 2 reasons:
1) we need to do a trail pre-run for the Stampede. This will be on Sunday, January 17.
2) unknown to me when I first scheduled this is that the Red Creek trail goes up into some pretty high elevations at some points, and deep snow is a possibility. It should be a better run conditions wise in April.    Rgds, Kirk

Our Jan. trip has been finalized. We will be meeting at the Rock Springs camping area ( just north of the Rock Springs Cafe, West side of I-17) at 9:00 A.M. on Sunday January 17th. Mike Corder will be leading the trail. The trail is rated about a 3.0. 31" tires, one traction devise, and some suspension lift are recommended for this trail. Hopefully we have a good turn out. See you all there.

It looks like this thread can use a bump. Let's have a good turn out this month. Plan on spending Sunday with your club in the great Arizona outdoors!!!

I'll definitely be there, as apparently so will quite a few people who raised their hands at the meeting on Monday. Should be fun...

Another great run!! We had 11 EBs, 2 FSB, and 1 samuri with us on this run. We departed the Rock Springs caming area about 9:45 AM. The weather was perfect. Rick Pewe from Peterson's 4wheel drive was with us, taking pictures for a future article in the magazine. The trail started off easy as we made our way up to the spanish fort. After the brisk hike to the top, we started making our way toward Cleator which took us through some rocky areas and multiple water crossings which turned into some great fun. We arrived in Cleator about 4:00 PM. It was beautiful day to be out in the Arizona desert, wheeling with friends. Hopefully some that attended with post up some pictures (I didn't have time to download and post mine). I can't wait to do it again next month!! Hope to see you all there!
